Flavourful would be the right word to describe ‘Shaandaar’ – there’s something for everyone. The film is layered with enough details and side tracks to add some more dimensions to the otherwise simple plot. After a long, long time, we finally have a film that can be watched with family! It’s neat and yet very, very funny. The film makes use of animation in a lot of parts to support to the story line and imparts a dreamy, almost child-like innocence to the film. The screenplay is fantastic and the cinematography top notch. If ‘Queen’ revolved around the typical West Delhi family, ‘Shaandaar’ gives you a sneak peek into the lives of the super rich socialites. It is an out and out commercial film and Vikas Bahl’s treatment is definitely applause worthy. ‘Shaandaar’ is nothing like the colloquial ‘Queen’, it is different in more ways than one. Vikas Bahl enters new territories with ‘Shaandaar’ and definitely puts up a good show. With names like Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurga Kashyap and Vikas Bahl involved in the film, you can be sure you will definitely not regret watching it.
